Two MLB rules created because of Ted Turner....

Players must wear their surname on the Jersey. (He has a player wear a jersey with Channel as the name and 17 as the number to promote his station. Starting Pitcher today - Channel 17!)

Owners are not allowed to manage teams. (He was so frustrated with his team that he went down and managed a game from the dugout one game.)

LOL.  Never heard this before today.

If I remember right, he paid Messersmith extra for doing it.  Channel 17, and everything starting 5 minutes after the hour.  :05, :35, so you could flip to TBS if you didn't like the show you started on the hour.

Kyle Schwarber cracked MLB's top 100 home run list yesterday, blasting the 355th and 356th homers of his career.

Schwarber is now tied with Joey Votto for the 97th most home runs in MLB history.

He has a pretty good shot at a 500 HR career.
