Then why did you answer with “one” when I asked? It seems like this new “rule” actually changed nothing. I asked questions when it was first proposed because it was vague, and needed more detail. Now, it’s just ****.
This league has always been flexible with rules since there are so many of them.

Being inflexible is shit as well.

The rule kept people from drafting SP/RP in the RP role except for 2 people.  One of the got dropped fairly early and the other got dropped because he was starting games.  I think it accomplished what it was supposed to.

It is pretty easy to tell people you're doing things wrong when you won't put in the time to do it the way you want.

And it’s pretty easy to do shit wrong when you haven’t been around that long in the first damn place…

Well if 8 years isn't enough time for you, then maybe it's time for my team to get contracted then too.

That doesn't just go for Dave, anyone can step up.

Last attempt to clarify:
An SP is a Starting Pitcher who not only begins a game, but is expected to go multiple innings, the fact that he might get bombed or injured, notwithstanding.
An RP is a relief pitcher who only normally throws an inning or two at any point of the game, including the first inning.  Beginning a game does not make him an SP, just an aberration.
A P is a Pitcher with no clear role or a rookie without a role yet.  He may be a pitcher up from the minors who hasn't been given a role yet.  He may be a Long Relief pitcher who has been pressed into a starting role.  Any of these, if rostered in our league as an RP must be moved to P from RP the first time they are clearly used as an SP.

Yes, we're rationalizing and trying to cope with the changing game of baseball and adjusting our rules accordingly.  If you don't agree, we respect that, but that doesn't mean we will stop trying to keep things fair.

Divers pick up Perkins, request his usage at RP (only place he’s pitched, current A’s closer), and drop Walker

My roster is legal, but moving Detmers to RP and Perkins to P for tonight's action until the RP eligibility gets added to Perkins.

Stupid Twins...they're taking forever to put Joe Ryan on the IL. Perkins was going to be my pickup.

Ha, I kinda wondered if he was the guy you were eyeing.

After Walker blew another save, didn't want to risk waiting any longer on Perkins. Seen too many other SP/RP/P targets disappear off the wire to those faster to act than me.

If anyone wants to swap bad, disappointing pitchers, Shane Baz could be available for the SP who you just want off your roster.
