Baseball is a funny game. Bregman in the first half and the second half - same guy, different player.

Or Bregman might tie it on a hanging slider.

10 pitches. I'd send Webb back out there.

Conforto has pretty much turned back into a pumpkin.

Arozerena dead to rights at third on the bunt and Zeferjahn never even looks at him.

Got away with it so far though Z won't be winning any gold gloves.

I really don't understand why you don't just stick with Webb there. Classic Counsell overmanaging.

Why was PCA playing so deep against a .130-hitting doinker?

Counsell was ejected after the blown balk call earlier.

Why was PCA playing so deep against a .160-hitting doinker?

He would have had to be playing short center in a 16" softball alignment to catch that.

Cubs hit 4 homers and 3 doubles but go 1-16 w/ RISP.

Seattle with one extra-base hit but go 4-7 w/ RISP.

Mariners two big hits from batters with a combined OPS of 993.

The entire outfield should've been playing further in. Not only can Rivas not hit, he has 9 career extra-base hits in 289 at-bats. If PCA is 10 feet closer he catches that.

Statcast xBA on that ball was .950.

Forget it. That’s a hit, period.
