Guard still seems like the play but you would think you could pick up a good starting quality guard later...at least in round 2.   Trade down looks more likely now.

You would like to hope that you left somthing behind on a planet on the edge of the milky way.

The only thing you leave behind that matters is your children.

If Eifert is there at #20, I would love to see the Bears grab him now that the o-line and LB holes are mostly covered up.  Trestman would love the mismatches he could get by using Eifert and Bennet on the same snap.  Then take a G or C with the second pick.

Trouble with taking Eifert is we already invested big FA money on a TE, in fact we signed 2 TEs so far. I see either a defensive player at #20 or a tradedown

Eifert doesnt seem like a very smart pick. That would be a lot like the McClellin pick last year cause he's a guy you know would only be getting limited reps vs starting immediately and contributing on every play.

OTOH Trestman did run a 3 TE offense one year in Canada that apparently worked out pretty well so who knows.

Also talking about taking a flyer on a guy, as for a speedy WR who can play the slot and stretch the field I'd take a flyer on Denard Robinson in the 5th or 6th round and say goodbye to Hester.

You could go LB in the first, just to cover the bases that Williams doesn't flake out and try and pass dog urine again...

That appears to me the most important gam*ble right now. Then I would go after Barrett Jones.

Denard Robinson wont even be as good a WR as Hester.

He was terrible at the Senior Bowl and would be a wasted draft pick.

Well said DAL. Lets see whats up with what we have ... LT , OG , Hmmmmm ...

that leaves a Center ... I wouldnt fuuck around on this one.

The first round is anybodys business ... knock yourself out.

But the second has to be Center ... this is a once in a lifetime issue to get what is best needed.

In August it must look like this ...

Bushrod - ? - Jones/Frederick - ? - Webb. We dont know where Slausen lines up at yet.

I am not so sure. I believe that was his first taste at it. For a 6th? A waste?  Arent 6th round picks a waste anyways? Not many teams get lucky with any of their 6th round picks

Some scouts who saw him in receiving drills at the Senior Bowl said they'd be surprised if he got drafted at all.

Just sayin.
