So in his case the question is really simply is he good enough to be worth what he will cost in a true FA market, and would he be good enough to either move Castro off SS or would he be good enough at 2B or 3B to move himself?
The Yankees have old or frail starters at SS and 3B, so they would presumably be interested, and so would the Red Sox, so the two of them could easily be aggressively bidding against each other. I wonder if the large number of other Cuban signees in the Cub system might cause him to give a bit of a discount to the Cubs?
