Of the 8 new head coaches in the NFL 7 have an offensive background.  The only team to go for a defensive background coach was Jacksonville.  So not all teams want an offensive minded coach but if they are smart they would.  The rules have gone so far in favor of the offense it is downright silly to spend the vast majority of cap space on defense.

I think Phill cares more about a coaches skin color then wether he has a offensive or defensive background.
