Yeah no worries.  The same dumbass GM/VP Player Personnel who drafted Joe Webb, Ponder, threw a couple million at Josh Freeman, traded a second rounder for AJ Feeley (with Miami), and signed a washed up McNabb is poised and ready to draft the next franchise QB for the Vikings.  BWAHAHA

hopefully the new coach gets into DET and they cut some of their expensive guys, they have a lot of high picks on that team, I don't see how they can keep them all.

I wouldn't sell Zimmer short. Even though what the Vikings really needed at the top was an offensive guru, Zimmer has paid his dues. Bengals fans are sorry to see him go but happy he is finally getting his shot.

Even if the Vikings offense doesn't come around immediately, the defense immediately becomes legit.  And the Vikings as a team will be a much tougher and smarter with Zimmer at the helm. You can take that to the bank.  Also keep in mind Zimmer has coached A LOT of games in cold and snow during his time in Cincy...  that could come in pretty handy for the Vikings the next 2 (3?) seasons.

Caldwell OTOH...

I just hope Trestman can solve Caldwell better than he could Schwartz.

Getting swept by the Lions was embarrassing. .. and a bad precedent to set in one's first season as a Bears HC.

Vikings get permission to interview Norv Turner
When Mike Zimmer took the Vikings job earlier today, it left the Browns as the last vacancy.

Interesting situation developing in Cleveland. Apparently the Browns are allowing any and all of Chudzinski's former staff to interview wherever they want, for any type of position.  They are essentially allowing their staff to be gutted and don't seem to have any plan to replace any of them including the HC (a job that apparently nobody wants either).  Quite a mess and it's really too bad because the Browns showed some signs this year of finally putting things together.

BTW...  Ray Horton is also available from Cleveland and he would have been an awesome upgrade for us at DC.  He's 10x the defensive mind Tucker is and his guys always play hard (which ours most certainly did not this year).

He's strictly 3-4 but that's the direction we're headed already with hardly any D-Linemen of quality and a bunch of LBs.
