Sounds like the Georgia indictments are coming next week. Super excited to see who gets indicted there - I’m anticipating a ton of Georgia GOP members.

EDIT - Damnit, might be end of next week or following week. Waiting is the hardest part.

Voting is happening in Fulton County now - burn the GOP to the ground.

I voted by mail in the Atlanta area in 2020, so I'm especially happy to see this one happening.

I think I called today's events too.

It is truly amazing that RFK JR has been appointed to run HHS and I can’t even say that he is the worst health related pick to run something. 

I'm following and appalled. Glad to live in a very blue state, to say the least, and hope that remains an effective bulwark against the klepto-kakistocracy Trump is trying to unleash.

Haven't commented in here as the pretty consistent refrain during the first trump admin was, essentially, "our institutions and bureaucracy are an iron curtain against trump's authoritarian influences, and there's no chance the military, judiciary, administrative state, etc., would ever roll over for him."

Ha...

What's not to love
1) More vaccine preventable diseases. 
2.) Development of drug resistant HIV in Africa
3.) Ending eradication of Polio as a possibility
4.) At best setting back medical research in America for decades by the cutting off overhead costs.  Worst case is America loses talent and medical research is permanently destroyed and RFK wastes a ton of money on his pet project research.
5) So much more just on the medical side.  I don't even want to think about the non-medical costs.

The great Michael Lewis (author of Moneyball, Liar's Poker, The Big Short, Boomerang, and many others) wrote a terrific book about the importance of governmental agencies in managing our nation's risks, entitled The Fifth Risk. His book underscores the criticality of having experts - not sycophants - address the problems facing the U.S. with scientific integrity, not just loyalty to any human being.

What has been happening in recent weeks to neuter or destroy many of those agencies will, no doubt, expose our country to tremendous risks the current administration won't even see coming. (though they will blame it on the previous one or Dr. Fauci or whoever else is then a favorite target of FOX "News").  What's happening with the Dept. of Justice to wipe out The Rule of Law in this country is equally discouraging!

What's happening is shameful, but no more so than recent absurdities that "Ukraine caused the war with Russia" or that "Zelensky is a dictator" etc. It's well past time for FAR more members of the GOP with a spine to denounce Putin, who continues to be a murderous thug and, quite clearly, a war criminal responsible for hundreds of thousands of murders of Ukrainians and deaths of his own citizenry.

I'm very glad to see that a few Republicans, such as Senators Roger Wicker, Armed Services Chair, are now stating the obvious about Putin (and Trump's assessment of the situation) and Democrats, such as Seth Moulton (D Massachusetts House member) are taking on most every aspect of what is going on to "Make America Great Again."  What a sad joke!
