Peterson is making a case to be part of the postseason rotation.

Nobody believes in Thornton, but that guy has got some "je nais sais quoi".

I don't know about that, but he has actually looked better the last few appearances. A couple of Ks and less at'em hard contact.

Again - the Cubs have some hard choices to make. If healthy you have to assume Milner, Miller, and Brown at the very least are going to be part of the bullpen. Not to mention Cabrera, who probably doesn't go back into the rotation unless one of the other 5 guys is hurt.

Rollison has had a couple of real dodgy outings lately but he looked good today. He has options and that makes him vulnerable on this staff.

Told the person next to me that it was set up for the .100 hitters to get Arozarena up for another homer.

I'd ask again why any outfielder is not in 20 feet with Rivas batting so they could catch his popfly singles, but I'm sure I'd be told that's silly.

Or maybe Webb's a typical Cub who throws his worst pitch to the Mariners' most dangerous hitter in that situation. Guy's success is FB/Change so he hangs a slider.
