If I remember right, late signings are often not approved and announced until the day after the deadline.

Because 1st and 2nd round talents usually wind up taking the cash and going pro.  Top college teams are built more on players that fall later in the draft.

No, I don't think they're announced that late. Usually shortly after the deadline has passed is the limit.

We went through this with Vitters.
