Obviously this doesn't break the bank or set records or anything...but even Randy Choate--a 37 year old with a 4.02 career ERA in 309 1/3 IP--got 3 years, $7.5 million.

Andrew Cashner hurt his thumb in a hunting accident--lacerated a tendon cutting meat.  3 month recovery time, apparently.

2 years, $15 million for Blanton.  Wow...I know I would take Baker over him, and probably Feldman too.  The Cubs' two signings look better and better every day.
